Keeping in touch with my friends on Facebook and e-mail, arts and crafts, painting, going out to eat, Jon & Kate + Eight, watching sports, eating pizza & tacos (not together), playing tennis & bowling on my Wii, hanging out with my friends, meeting new people, watching action movies, listening to religious & country music, Kenny Chesney, University of Illinois Fightin’ Illini and Chicago Cubs.

My story:

I used to live in a group home that I was not satisfied with. I felt like I was being controlled by employees. I did not want to be controlled by employees because they told me that I’d never be able to be independent. I have been living on my own for two years now. So I know, for a fact, that I CAN be independent. And, if you come to my house, you abide by my rules! I go to church every Sunday. I love my family! I love my dad, Aunt Phyl & Uncle Greg. Much love for Jennifer my sister, Rylee, Kodee and Kristen! I love my mom and my grandparents, too! I love my stepmom. I love my personal assistants- Jason, Eugenia and Veronica. Most of all, I love God. I am happy and I like being part of my community.

LifeMyWay means:

If you are afraid to make your voice heard, you are in the dark -- you are in a cave somewhere! You can’t be scared. Some people ask me if I was scared to be independent. I said, “Why would I be scared to be on my own when I can make my life better? You can’t let people tell you that you don’t have rights because they are wrong.

My dreams:

I want to live in my apartment forever. I want people to put power behind me and believe that I can do stuff. Then I have the power to say, “Hey, this isn’t your life, it is mine.” I hate being talked down to. Don’t tell me that I can’t do something! If you tell me I can’t do something -- you have issues! I want to be treated like a human, not like a robot.
